We hope you'll participate in this year's virtual United Way Week activities, as we raise essential dollars for United Way of the Plains.
Pledge cards will be sent out Friday, 10/16, and employees that turn in their pledge cards by COB on Monday, 10/19, will be entered to win a $25 gift card!
The online sign-up form link is below and employees will be able to sign up for activities throughout the week by filling out this form. We will track IOUs and send you your donation total (along with a payroll deduction form) at the end of the week.
Master Schedule
WEEK-LONG EVENTS TO INCLUDE:
- Silent Auction and Raffles: Bidding will end at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 23, and raffle ticket sales will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. Employees will be contacted for raffle ticket distribution preference Friday (10/22) morning, and will need to have raffle selections in by NOON Friday. (Prices of auction items will vary; raffle tickets are 1 for $1 or 12 for $10.)
- Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Vote for your favorite pumpkin by 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. Favorite pumpkin winner will win five raffle tickets.
- Message-Grams: Ends at EOD on Thursday, October 22nd - Since we aren’t in the office to deliver candy this year we still wanted you to be able to send a message along to your coworkers. Use the United Way Sign Up Form to send your messages. We’ll compile all messages and send to each employee on Friday. $1 per Message Gram. Each message you purchase will get your named entered into a drawing for extra vacation time.
- Pie Face: Please have all contributions in by COB Thursday, October 22. Donate funds either for or against candidates of your choosing, to get a pie to the face! We have some amazing team members that have volunteered themselves as tribute. Feel free to contribute daily to this entertaining activity!
- Photo the Caption: Please have all photo entries in by COB Thursday, October 22. See the sign up form (link above) for hilarious one-liners that you have the chance to depict in your own creative way via a photo! Throw on a silly outfit, and pose away to show how you would photo these captions! (It's $1/photo entry and each entry will be awarded 1 raffle ticket. Each favorite photo will receive 5 raffle tickets.)

Monday, October 19
**Pledge cards are due (to HR) by COB to be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card.**
- Virtual Kick-Off Presentation (Email): Stay tuned for an exciting welcome to the week, personalized for DDKS, from United Way of the Plains. This email will also contain details for activities throughout the week.
Tuesday, October 20
- Desk Bingo: BINGO! Be the first to get bingo to win the prize ($1 per bingo card). Bingo starts at 10 a.m., a round will be sent every 30 minutes - the first three people to call bingo will win 10 raffle tickets.
Thursday, October 22
**Photo the Caption entries are due at noon. Pumpkin Decorating votes and Raffle Purchase are due by 2 p.m. Message-grams requests/orders and Pie Face contributions are due by COB.**

Friday, October 23
**All auction item bidding will close at 2 p.m.**
- Message-Grams: Message-Grams will be delivered (virtually, via email) to employees throughout the day.
- Auction & Raffle Winners: A Teams invite will be sent for the 2 p.m. raffle drawings, and auction winners will be announced. An email to all employees will follow that will list all auction, raffle and favorite pumpkin winners.
