Smile Kits
What is a Smile Kit?
A Smile Kit includes a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss in a reusable plastic pouch! They are provided to Kansas-based organizations with programs and projects that include an oral health education or outreach component.
Can my organization apply?
Your organization is eligible if you are conducting a program or project that includes oral health education and/or outreach, and if you are:
- A public charity with a tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- A public or government entity such as a school or health department
- A tribal organization with 7871 tax-exempt status
- A church
Your organization must have a physical presence in the state of Kansas, and the project/program for which you’re requesting Smile Kits must benefit people living in Kansas.
How do I apply?
It’s easy! Fill out the application by clicking the button below. Please note, your application must be submitted a minimum of four weeks before the Smile Kits are needed. You can apply for Smile Kits once per calendar year.
I’ve applied. Now what?
You will be notified via email if your request was approved or denied.
If your request was approved and your organization is located within Sedgwick, Reno, Harvey, Butler, Sumner or Kingman counties, you will receive instructions on where and how to pick up your Smile Kits. If your organization is located outside of those counties, your Smile Kits will be shipped to the address you provided in your application.
We ask Smile Kit recipients to post about your project or program on social media and tag Delta Dental of Kansas (@DeltaDentalofKS) and use the hashtag #DDKSSmileKits.
