What is a Smile Kit?
A Smile Kit includes a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss in a reusable plastic pouch! They are provided to Kansas-based programs and projects that include an oral health education or outreach component.
Can my organization apply?
Your organization is eligible if you are conducting a program or project that includes oral health education and/or outreach and if you are:
- A public charity with a tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- A public or government entity such as a school or health department
- A tribal organization with 7871 tax-exempt status
- A church
Your organization must have a physical presence in the state of Kansas, and the project/program for which you’re requesting Smile Kits must benefit people living in Kansas.
How do I apply?
It’s easy! Fill out the application by clicking the button below. Please note, your application must be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks before the Smile Kits are needed. You can apply for smile kits once per year.
Shipping is available to organizations outside of the Wichita metro area. Local organizations within the Wichita metro area are required to pick up their donation from a local distribution point. Wichita metro includes Sedgwick, Reno, Harvey, Butler, Sumner and Kingman counties.
I’ve applied. Now what?
You will be notified by email if your request was approved or denied.
Once approved, you’ll either pick up your kits if you’re local or your kits will be shipped to you if you’re not.
We ask Smile Kit recipients to post about your project or program on social media and tag Delta Dental of Kansas (@DeltaDentalofKS) and use the hashtag #DDKSSmileKits.
