Delta Dental of Kansas has partnered with Kansas Children’s Service League to offer training aimed at helping oral health professionals recognize signs of child abuse and neglect.

We know that Dentists and dental professionals play an important role in spotting signs of possible abuse or neglect of patients and to report such cases as required by law. With 75% of physical abuse cases resulting in injuries to the head, neck, and/or mouth, the dental community is in a unique position to be the first advocates for children suffering from abuse and neglect.
