What to Expect at Your First Dental Appointment

Ready to use your dental plan? Find an in-network dentist near you and schedule your first appointment!

Remember to bring your Delta Dental ID card and deductible with you to your first dentist appointment. Your ID card will help the dentist office determine your insurance benefits. Your deductible will be $5 if it’s juts you and a maximum of $10 if it’s you and your family. You will only have to pay your deductible once for the plan year.

When you visit an in-network dentist, your dentist will submit your insurance claim form for you, meaning you don’t have to worry about the paperwork.

You will then be able to check how much of your Annual Maximum is remaining after your appointment through your online member account or by calling us at 800-234-3375.

If you have any questions about using your dental benefits, call us at 800-234-3375.
