DDKS CEO, Dean Newton, Recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as an Executive of the Year
Delta Dental of Kansas’ President & CEO, Dean Newton, has been named an Executive of the Year by the Wichita Business Journal.
Dean has served in progressive leadership roles within Delta Dental of Kansas (DDKS) including Managing Director and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. During his time with DDKS, the company has successfully grown to offer a suite of health and insurance products in more than 30 states. Dean has a successful track record for leadership, results, employee engagement and innovation. Under his leadership, the company has been recognized nationally and locally as a Best Places to Work, as National Company of the Year for insurance, as a No. 1 Healthiest Employer and Innovative Company of the Year. He recognizes a strong company culture and employee engagement is the foundation for success and prioritizes employee input and collaboration, employee civic involvement, regular employee communication and transparency, employee connection and celebrating and recognizing employee successes. Prior to Delta Dental of Kansas, he was a corporate lawyer specializing in Corporate Finance and Business Law.
In addition to his work at DDKS, Dean serves in various community leadership roles. His service includes Board member for the Wichita and Greater Kansas City Chambers of Commerce, the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, and the KU Health System. He also serves as a Guest Lecturer for the KU School of Business where he discusses leadership, culture, and innovation.
He has been recognized as nationally as one of the Top 10 Most Influential Executives in Insurance, Excellence in Healthcare, 50 Kansans You Should Know, YLS Lawyer of the Year and the Marshall Fellowship. Dean graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kansas and received his law degree from NYU School of Law.
