Your New Online Dentist Account Is Now Live!
Your new online dentist account is now live—thank you for your patience over the past few months.
As a reminder, the Online Dentist Account User Guide details all the changes you can expect from your new account. For example, how to view historical EFT and EOPs via the National Electronic Remittance Advice link, and how to use the new Procedure Code Search function to find patient plan coverage information. The Upgrade Page and Helpdesk are also here to help you navigate these changes, and you can reach out to your Professional Relations Representative at any time.
Read on for some important updates that impact your Individual Product (IP) patients.
Two Changes That Impact Your IP Patients
1. IP Account Structure is Changing
Following the upgrade, family units will be combined, meaning one family member will be listed as the primary subscriber and additional family members will be managed within the same account with the same subscriber ID number, just as your patients on an employer plan are structured. Communication and correspondence will only be sent to the primary subscriber who will be sent a new ID card. Only the primary subscriber will be able to log in/register for an online member account to manage the plan.
2. New ID Cards
IP patients' existing ID cards will no longer be valid. The primary subscriber on an IP plan will receive a new card with new account details. New ID cards will be sent by mail by the end of September. In the meantime, digital versions will be available in the DDKS mobile app and in online member accounts. You will also be able to look up these patients in the new online dentist account. Please note that group members will not receive new ID cards; these are limited to individual product members only.
