Accessible Oral Health 2025 ECHO: Building Confidence in Serving People with Disabilities

To better support you as we introduce the Special Health Care Needs Benefit, DDKS has partnered with the University of Kansas Medical Center and Oral Health Kansas to offer a free, live educational series to help dental professionals better serve patients with disabilities.

This initiative reflects our commitment to removing barriers to care and improving oral health for all Kansans.

The Accessible Oral Health 2025 ECHO Series is designed to support dental teams in treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through interactive, case-based learning, participants will explore practical, evidence-based strategies and tools to support care for patients with IDD.

Session Topics Include:

  • A Multidisciplinary Approach to Oral Health Care
  • Behavioral Strategies to Improve Patient Experience and Cooperation
  • Creating a Sensory-Inclusive Dental Office Environment
  • Fostering an Accessible and Welcoming Environment in the Dental Office
