Provider Innovation: Expanded Coverage for Kids — Supporting You and Your Patients

Based on your direct feedback, we are excited to share an enhancement to our Right Start for Kids (RS4K) program — designed to support you and your patients.

Beginning January 1, 2026, employers will now have the option to extend RS4K coverage to kids up to age 18. This program aims to improve oral health by promoting regular dentist visits, more consistent preventative care and healthier smiles for kids and teens.

RS4K Age Limit Options:

Employers can now choose to offer RS4K for:

• Kids 12 and under (current program age limit) - or -
• Kids 18 and under (new expanded option starting 2026)

We are proud to make this change in direct response to provider input —because we know you see firsthand how critical continued access to dental care is throughout childhood and adolescence.

What This Means for You:

The Right Start for Kids (RS4K) program continues to provide kids with 100% coverage for all covered services, excluding orthodontics, under a child's dental plan. To verify if a patient is eligible under RS4K, please log in to your online dentist account to view patient benefits or call 1-800-234-3375. We encourage you to confirm RS4K eligibility during visits to maximize benefits for your patients.
